DUES

Deedholders of lots platted as part of Silver Lake, Lakeshore Meadows, Lakeshore Place and Sandy's Estates maybe included in the Silver Lake Homes Association. Member households are assessed dues of $275 annually, due March 1st.  In addition to secured access to amenities and events, membership privileges include one vote per household at elections.

According to the bylaws, the association may impose late fees and restrict access to amenities as penalty for unpaid dues. The association may also refer past due accounts for collection and place property lien(s) as security toward repayment of any debt including; unpaid dues and/or any fees and administrative costs incurred by the association as a result of collection efforts. To avoid penalty, please be prompt with payment.

Payment

Payment of annual household dues will be accepted in the form of cash or check and may be mailed or submitted to the Silver Lake Office (113 Silver Lake Cir) for receipt. A secure payment box, located at the entrance, is provided for convenient delivery during non-operating hours.

Membership dues received past the due date of April 1st are assessed an additional 15% (annually) and will likely be sent on to an agency specializing in collection after June of the same year. If you are late, please contact the Silver Lake Office at (816) 322-1883 to receive a full payoff amount.

Deed Restrictions

Lots platted in the subdivision phases of Silver Lake, Lakeshore Meadows, Lakeshore Place and Sandy's Estates have covenant restrictions recorded along with the warranty deed. For help obtaining an electronic copy of these restrictions for your lot, contact the Silver Lake Office at (816) 322-1883 or the Cass County Recorder of Deeds Office for assistance.

Ownership of property included in the association requires observance of restrictions declared in these documents. These are the minimum standards set forth to ensure the value of your real estate investment(s) are secured.  To this effect, the Silver Lake Homes Association's (SLHA) Board of Directors is concerned where observance is lacking.

Bylaws

Silver Lake Homes Association is governed by a Board of Directors who are elected annually by members at large to serve (3) year terms, some as officers. Directors are responsible for operation, maintenance and improvement of all Silver Lake community assets.  They also share responsibility as designated by the President, according to the following areas for concern; Silver Lake, swimming pools, grounds, clubhouse, playground/tennis courts & communications.
